On December 22, 2005, a
force of 100 Israeli soldiers broke into PARC’s offices in
Qaffin/ Tulkarem after destroying the main gate. The
soldiers confiscated records and files pertaining to the
National Committee Against the Wall. PARC source said that
500 JD and 7000 NIS belonging to the Rural Women’s
Development Society had disappeared from the premises, which
accommodates a number of PARC’s affiliated rural
associations.
The neighbors said that
the soldiers who were equipped with cameras remained in the
offices for two hours during which they photocopied
documents and destroyed 3 iron doors and furniture.
Suhail
Salman, the coordinator of the National Committee Against
the Wall in Tulkarem governorate said that this incident
will not stop them from struggling against Israel’s
persisting violation of Palestinians’ human rights, and will
not undermine their determination to fight for the dismantle
of the Wall, which confine Palestinian families to a large
prison.
