A number of interventions aimed at enhancing leadership that induces change at the rural community and specifically the agricultural sector, the cooperative sector and the trade union sector.

Program Philosophy

Sustainable development is ruled and accelerated by the spirit of leadership that ensures communication between different generations, and create models able to make a positive and sustainable change.

Target Group

  1. Heads and members of boards of directors and members of general assembly of the cooperative societies and grassroots organizations.
  2. Agronomists recently graduated.
  3. Activists in the voluntary and grassroots movements.

Goals of the Program

  1. Strengthen the capacity of young people, especially women in the area of good governance and leadership.
  2. Strengthen the capacity of change agents.
  3. Increase the involvement of young people in community organizations

Key Interventions

  1. Capacity development for individuals and cooperative societies, and specialized agricultural trade unions.
  2. Development of inclusion in community institutions.
  3. Strengthening the governance and the administration in cooperative institutions.
  4. The development of an academic program in partnership with universities.
  5. Developing alliances and partnerships.
  6. Exchanging of experiences.
  7. The development of social responsibility for cooperative entities.
  8. Raise the capabilities of newly graduated agronomists.
  9. Developing the relationship with Universities and introducing curriculum in leadership.

Core Achievements

  1. To actively participate in the establishment of two programs for the Master in Development and International Cooperation with the Al-Quds and Bethlehem University, and Bachelor Program with Al-Quds Open University.
  2. Training of 1,255 Newly Graduated Agronomists to enhance the agricultural sector.
  3. Increasing the opportunities of hundreds of activists in representing their communities.
